Concerned Parents of Color: College Tomorrow at GFCC service this coming Sunday 6/29/2008

Maya Weilundemo, the co-ordinator for the "College Tomorrow", the 2 week summer college exposure program run at Framingham State College, will be at the GFCC service this coming Sunday (June 29, 2008).  She will be available after the service to provide any additional information you might need and also to accept any completed applications.

If you haven't submitted your application, forms are available in the pamphlet holder in the church narthex.

Maya has also informed me that the original application deadline has been extended to July 18th, however you should still get your application in ASAP, because at least 10 applications have already been received for the 20 available slots.

Concerned Parents of Color: Do you want to prepare your student for college? --- College Tomorrow at FSC

College Tomorrow is a two week summer program run at Framingham State College for rising high school Juniors and Seniors, especially those who are first generation college bound or from families of underserved populations.  It gives students first-hand exposure to college level material.  Over the past few years, several GFCC students have participated in this program and have enjoyed and benefited from the experience.

The 2008 program runs weekdays from August 4th through the 15th from 9 AM to 2 PM at the college. 

The application deadline is June 27th.
