WE ARE STANDING ON HOLY GROUND
We are standing on Holy ground
And I know that there are angels all around
Let us praise Jesus now
We are standing in His presence on Holy ground
I AM ON THE BATTLEFIELD FOR MY LORD
[Refrain]
I am on the battlefield for my Lord
I'm on the battlefield for my Lord;
And I promised Him that I would serve Him till I die.
I am on the battlefield for my Lord.
I was alone and idle,
I was a sinner too,
I heard a voice from heaven
Say there is work to do,
I took the Master's hand,
And I joined the Christian band,
I'm on the battlefield for my Lord.
[Refrain]
I left my friends and kindred
Bound for the Promised Land,
The grace of God upon me,
The Bible in my hand,
In distant lands I trod,
Praise Selections-cont’d
Crying, sinner, come to God,
I'm on the battlefield for my Lord.
[Refrain]
Now when I met my Savior,
I met Him with a smile,
He healed my wounded spirit,
And owned me as His child,
Around the throne of grace,
He appoints my soul a place,
I'm on the battlefield for my Lord.
COME TO JESUS
Come to Jesus,
Come to Jesus,
Come to Jesus just now, just now.
Come to Jesus,
Come to Jesus just now.
Only trust him, ...
He is able, ...
He will save you, ...
I'LL MAKE IT
I was down to my last dime;
But Jesus stepped in right on time.
I sure been sick and I couldn't get well.
But He healed my body, and I can tell that it's
Alright now
Think I'll make it anyhow!
Alright Now
Think I'll make it anyhow!
I was lost, without a friend.
Then I met Jesus, and He took me in.
In all of your temptation, just keep the faith;
He's already planned, a way for you to escape!
Alright now
Think I'll make it anyhow!
Alright now
Think I'll make it anyhow!
Through your troubles and through your pain
You can believe that it's alright
Don't you stop shouting, don't you stop praising
You can believe that it's alright
Alright now
Think I'll make it anyhow!
Alright now
Think I'll make it anyhow!
VAMP
I'll make it!
HOLY COMMUNION
When we approach God's Holy Table, we do so with respect and reverence for who God is. It is not done with noise, commotion, moving around, or confusion. Please respect God by respecting His Holy Table.
CONFESSION OF FAITH
The church acknowledges as its head God, the Creator of all heaven and earth, Jesus Christ the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. It acknowledges as brothers and sisters in Christ, all who share in this confession. It believes that all of those who are committed to building God's Kingdom and strive to keep His commandments are invited to partake of the Lord's Supper and that all such, with their families, are invited to the Ordinance of Baptism.
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH: “APOSTLES” CREED
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day, he arose from the dead; he ascended into heaven and sat on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty: from thence, he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Church (universal), the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sin, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen!
THE LORD’S SUPPER
I Corinthians 11: 23 – 34
Minister: For I have received of the Lord that I also delivered unto you. That the
Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread:
People: And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said Take eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Minister: After the same manner, also he took the cup when he had supped, saying;
this cup is the New Testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
People: For as often as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord’s death till he comes.
Minister: Wherefore, whosoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup of
the Lord unworthily shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
People: But let a person examine themselves, and so let them eat of
that bread, and drink of that cup.
Minister: For they that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh
damnation to themselves, not discerning the Lord’s body.
People: For this cause, many are weak in [Faith] and sick among you,
and many sleep.
Minister: For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
People: But when we judge, we are chastened of the Lord, that we
should not be condemned with the world.
Minister: Wherefore, my friends, when ye come together to eat, tarry one
for another.
All: And if a person hungers, let them eat at home; that they come not together to this table, disregarding its purpose, and unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
