“FIRESIDE CHAT” QUESTIONS” Sermon Title: “Examining Our Faith in the Lord” Scripture: 2 Corinthians 13:5 1Peter 1:1-10 Ways to Examine Our Faith Examining ourselves is biblical as Paul admonishes people to “Examine themselves to see whether they are in the Christian faith”.

1. Between this Sunday and the next, set aside some time to examine yourself. Quickly, jot down at least 30 activities that make up your daily life. Look over your list. How much of that is secular or self-pleasing? How much is spiritual or God-pleasing?

2. Study 2 Cor. 13:5 and 2 Peter 1:1-10; focusing on verse 10.

3. Use the list of activities that you generated to compare Galatians 5:19- 25. Which verses come closest to the activities on your daily list?

4. If your list is not pleasing to God how could you depend on the Spirit to help you become more pleasing to God in your daily Christian life?

5. Whatever your “test” reveals, pray for the Spirit of God to help you grow in your faith.
