OH LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM
O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light;
the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.
For Christ is born of Mary, and gathered all above,
while mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wond’ring love.
O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth!
And praises sing—let “Glory!” ring with peace to all on earth!
How silently, how silently, the wondrous gift is giv’n!
So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of the heav’ns.
No ear may hear his coming, but in this world of sin,
where meek souls will receive him still the dear Christ enters in.
O holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we pray,
cast out our sin, and enter in, be born in us today!
We hear the Christmas angels the great glad tidings tell. O come to us, abide with us, our Lord Emmanuel.
JOY TO THE WORLD
Joy to the world, the Lord is come,
Let earth receive her king.
Let every heart prepare him room,
Let Heaven and nature sing,
Let Heaven and nature sing.
Joy to the world the savior reigns,
Let men their songs employ,
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy.
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glory of his righteousness,
And wonders of his love,
And wonders of his love.
He is the King (King of Kings) that reigns forever,
He's the beginning and the end,
Which was and is, and soon to come,
Come...
Joy to the world, the Lord is come,
Let earth receive her king.
Let every heart prepare him room,
Let Heaven and nature sing,
Let Heaven and nature sing.
Vamp
Joy to the world, the Lord is come,
(Heaven and nature sing)
(Now we sing)
Now you sing
Joy to the world!
I ALMOST LET GO
I almost let go
I felt like I just couldn't take life anymore
My problems had me bound, depression weighed me down
But God held me close so I wouldn't let go
God's mercy kept me so I wouldn't let go
I almost gave up
I was right at the edge of a breakthrough but couldn't see it
The devil really had me, but Jesus came and grabbed me
And He held me close, so I wouldn't let go
God's mercy kept me so I wouldn't let go
So I'm here today because God kept me
I'm alive today only because of His grace
Oh, He kept me, God kept me, He kept me
So I wouldn't let go
I almost let go
I felt like I just couldn't take life anymore
My problems had me bound, depression weighed me down
But God held me close so I wouldn't let go
God's mercy kept me so I wouldn't let go
So I'm here today because God kept me
I'm alive today only because of His grace
Oh, He kept me, God kept me
JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON
Who got the praise? We got the praise!
And who we give the praise to? Jesus!
Jesus is the reason for the season, yeah.
Yes He is, Oh Yes He is, Oh Yes He is, Yeah!
Jesus is the reason for the season, yeah.
Yes He is, Oh Yes He is, Oh Yes He is, Yeah!
I don’t need material things. All I need is the love You bring.
This holiday I came to say that Jesus is the only way!
Glo – o – o – ri – a!
Vamp
He is, He’s the reason! One thing you should know, wherever you go
He is, He’s the reason! One thing I can say on this special day

2022 Church Directory
Does the church have your correct Email address?
We want to save the church money with the cost of postage having gone up. To do so we are sending out giving statements by email. Please a point to ensure that the church has your correct email address. This can be done by giving it to your deacon to give it to the Board of finance or emailing it to the central office. Thank you for helping your church save on expenses.
Church Directories are in the process of being updated.
If any of your information has changed please let the
Central Office know either
call 508-626-2118 or email
The next packing session will be Friday,
January 6th , 2023 at 1:30pm and help to distribute on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at 9 am at GFCC. Please reach out to the Central Office,
508-626-2118 or call Linda James 508-788-0611. We will be feeding 75 families every other Friday, so we are in need of volunteers for an hour and half on each of these Fridays.
Annual Memorial Service
Sunday, January 22, 2023 we will celebrate the Homegoing of those individuals who have been promoted to glory during the calendar year 2019. The congregation is encouraged to come out to encourage those who have buried loved ones and affirm our hope that lies beyond the grave. Family members are invited to light a candle of remembrance during the service at that time.
