PRAISE CHORUSES

LORD I LIFT YOUR NAME ON HIGH

Lord I lift Your name on high

Lord I love to sing Your praises

I’m so glad You’re in my life

I’m so glad You came to save us

You came from heaven to earth to show the way

From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay

From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky

Lord I lift Your name on high

IN THE SANCTUARY

We lift our hands in the sanctuary

We lift our hands to give You the glory

We lift our hands to give You the praise

And we will praise You for the rest of our days.

Yes, we will praise You for the rest of our days.

We clap our hands . . .

We sing our song . . .

Hallelujah in the sanctuary . . .

Jesus!  We give you the praise

Emmanuel!  We lift up Your name.

Heavenly Father!  Coming Messiah!

And we will praise You for the rest of our days.

Yes, we will praise You for the rest of our days.

Yes!  Yes Lord for the rest of our days!

Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah for the rest of our days!

BLESSED ASSURANCE

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,

born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.

Refrain:
This is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,

praising my Savior all the day long

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
visions of rapture now burst on my sight.
Angels descending bring from above

echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Perfect submission, all is at rest.
I in my Savior am happy and bless’d,
watching and waiting, looking above,
filled with his goodness, lost in his love.

GOD IS

God is my protection.
God is my all and all.
God is my light in darkness.
God is my all and all.

God is my joy in time of sorrow.
God is my all and all.
God is my today and tomorrow.
God is my all and all.

Chorus:
God is the joy and the strength of my life,
Removes all pain, misery, and strife.
He promised to keep me, never to leave me.
He'll never never come short of His word.

I'm going to fast and pray, stay in this narrow way,
I'll keep my life clean each and everyday
I want to go with Him when He comes back,
I've come too far and I'll never turn back.

God is (3x),
God is my all and all.

WORTH

You thought I was worth saving so You came and changed my life
You thought I was worth keeping so You cleaned me up inside
You thought I was to die for so You sacrificed your life
So I could be free, so I could be whole
So I could tell everyone I know

Halle-lujah
Glory to the God who changed my life
I will praise You, forever
I will worship You, forever
I will give You glory, forever
Because I am free, because I am whole
And I will tell everyone I know

THE STORM IS PASSING OVER

The storm is passing over - Hallelu!

The storm is passing over -  Hallelu!

Troubles in life that we all face

Feeling as though there is no way

I know the Lord has promised us a brighter day

The storm is passing over - Hallelu!

You can weather the storm

if you put your trust in God

VAMP
The storm is passing over!

The storm is passing over!

TITLE: "Out of Darkness into the Marvelous Light"

TEXT: John 9: 1-12

"FIRESIDE CHAT" QUESTIONS

1.     How is the healing in this chapter [chapter 9] similar and how is it different from the healing in John chapter 5?

2.     In the story Jesus shifts the focus from blame "Who sinned? to new beginnings" That God's works might be revealed in him." But when might clarifying blame be an appropriate step in finding healing?

3.     After his healing, the man born blind was hardly recognizable to those who knew him before [9:9]. What does this suggest about the nature of Christian conversion?

4.     In coming to faith in Christ, the man born blind saw from God" [9:33] and finally as the "Lord [9:38]. Do most believers go through such a progression?   Where do you find yourself on this spectrum of responses to Jesus?

5.     If Faith is always growing and changing, what constitutes "enough" faith to be a Christian?

6.     How has your understanding of the confession? "Jesus is Lord" changed with the years?

7.     What darkness surrounds you that you need to see the light of God to make it through?
