GOING UP YONDER
If you want to know where I'm going
Where I'm going soon
If anybody asked you where I'm going
Where I'm going soon
I'm goin' up yonder
I'm goin' up yonder
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord
I'm goin' up yonder
I'm goin' up yonder
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord
I can take the pain, the heartaches they bring
The comfort's in knowing I'll soon be gone
As God gives me grace, I'll run this race
Until I see my Savior face to face
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord
If you want to know where I'm going
Where I'm going soon
If anybody asked you where I'm going
Where I'm going soon
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord

God is doing a new thing and taking us to a new level. He calls us to seek Him and will do miracles in our midst. This year we are praying for miracles in our lives, the lives of our families, and our Church family. As we pray and seek His face, we are going to give God Majestic Praise along the way. The songwriters said: I seek a miracle every day and I want to Praise Him.

Join Pastor Lloyd for Wednesday in the Word
Since Wednesday, May 17th, we have started the study of 1 Kings. The study picks up with David making Solomon king to succeed him on the throne. Solomon had mixed results, with his wealth and wisdom being known worldwide. He built palaces and cities, and a beautiful temple.-The house of the Lord did not match. But while on the throne, he also allowed idol worship to creep into the kingdom. And after his death, a civil war tore the nation in two. Successive kings were mainly terrible, and the prophet Elijah had dramatic confrontations with King Ahab, who could forget Jezebel on the scene. Join us Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm.

Rev. Cindy Cabral, Pastor
Lively Stones Christian Center
Brockton, MA
I am a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and Pastor of Lively Stones Christian Center (LSCC). When I was seven, the choir sang the Old Rugged Cross, and something stirred in me, something I never felt before. Don’t remember if it was the words or passion of the soloist, but I found myself crying and praying. My conversion or my walk with Jesus began that day.
I have always tried to help young girls, especially those girls with children, as I understand the pitfalls and struggles of trying to land on your feet. I wanted to give back but didn’t know how. I gave my life back to Christ in 1988 and became an administrator and church clerk. My Pastor recognized my passion for the youth and the desire to do more. I understood what they were going through and was counseling without a degree. Thank God for the Holy Spirit because all I had to give was me and the trials and tribulations of my life. Yes, overcoming by my testimony and giving back by showing the love of Jesus Christ and the love He showed me. He gave me the right words and heart to hear and see them.
As the church clerk and administrator, I became a Deaconess, Van Driver, Youth Christian Education Teacher, Youth Choir Director, and youth leader, which gave me renewed faith and a sense of self-worth. I am also thankful to our Lord for opening the door for me to attend Gordon Conwell, of which I’m now in my second year. I became a Board Member of BMA/10 Point and co-chair of their Clergy and Engagement Committee in June 2022.
LSCC is involved with “Can We Talk” in Brockton. Rev. Liz Walker heads this program. In recognizing that during COVID, many were shut-in and alone, and God’s Children suffered from different mental ailments, emotions, and unreleased pain. Our church connected with Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in the City of Brockton to begin the ministry of understanding the diversity and dynamics of the surrounding neighborhood, giving us direct insight into administering to the direct needs and assisting LSCC in becoming a vital part of the community.
Several Bible verses The Holy Spirit has given me over the years have carried me through life’s ups and downs. Still, the ones that have always helped me through my Christian journey are Philippians 4:11-12 teaches me to be content in all things, and Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which gives me strength.” and Psalms 118:24, “This is the Day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
As this Christian Journey never ends, I am learning to use the wisdom given me by God, wisdom that always has me evolving, not to allow my personal problems or outside circumstances to control me, but to ask the Holy Spirit to help me embrace the Alcoholics Anonymous Prayer, “Lord, give me the courage to change the things which can and ought to be changed, the serenity to accept the things which cannot be changed, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
